Important Update to Department Hours
Starting August 5, the Hood River County Community Development Department will be closed during the noon hour.
Walk-in planning hours are also being reduced to Tuesdays and Thursdays, 8am to Noon only. Planners will, however, continue to be available by appointment outside of regular planning hours. An appointment provides you with the opportunity to ensure we get the right staff for your inquiry to answer your questions. For other business, the department will continue to be open 8am to Noon and 1pm to 5pm, Monday through Friday.
These temporary changes are in response to three vacancies within the department, including two planner positions.
We apologize for any inconvenience that these changes may cause.
If you have any questions or would like to make an appointment, please contact the Planning Department at (541) 387-6840 or planning@hoodrivercounty.gov. You may also visit the Community Development website at hrccd.hoodrivercounty.gov for other department related information.
