Respiratory Illnesses

The spread of respiratory illness is slowed by vaccinations. The Health Department offers a variety of immunizations, typically including flu and COVID-19. The Health Department is now offering the 2025/2026 flu vaccine (for those up to 64 years of age) and the 2025/2026 COVID-19 vaccine at a first-come, first-serve basis.

COVID-19

If You Test Positive for COVID-19

  • You do not need to isolate for a set number of days – discuss your individual medical care and risks with your primary partner
  • Stay home until:
    • You have not had a fever for 24 hours and you have not taken fever-reducing medication AND
    • Other COVID-19 symptoms are improving
  • You can get others sick
    • Avoid high-risk individuals for 10 days
    • Mask when you are around other people for 10 days
