A) ELECTRIC BICYCLE POLICY

E-Bikes (Electric Bicycles): Class 1 e-bikes are allowed on Hood River County non-motorized and motorized trails managed by the HRC Forestry Department. Class 1 e-bikes are pedal-assist only with the assist limited to 20mph.

All other classes of e-bikes are allowed to operate on HRC trails designated for motorized use.
B) DIRECTIONS TO STAGING AREAS

From I-84 to Hood River County's Northwest Area Staging Locations
Post Flats Staging Area (adjacent trails are motorized):
1. From I-84 eastbound take Exit 62. Turn right onto Cascade Avenue. Travel approximately 300 feet and make a right turn onto Mt. Adams Avenue (Mt. Adams Avenue turns into Wine Country Avenue which turns into Country Club Road). Drive for ~1.6 miles. Turn right onto Post Canyon Road (once it becomes gravel the road is rough with pot holes and becomes steep). Travel ~2.7 miles to the staging area. The staging area is on either side of the road.
2. From I-84 westbound take Exit 62 and turn left onto Cascade Avenue. Follow the remainder of the directions above. This staging area offers semi-improved parking facilities and is located on Hood River County Forestry Department property. This staging area is day use only, has been rocked, and is big enough to accommodate equestrian trailers.
Binns Hill Staging Area (adjacent trails are motorized):
1. From I-84 eastbound take Exit 62. Turn right onto Cascade Avenue. Travel approximately 300 feet and make a right turn onto Mt. Adams Avenue (Mt. Adams Avenue turns into Wine Country Avenue which turns into Country Club Road). Drive for ~6.1 miles. Drive through the intersection and make a slight right turn onto Binns Hill Road and drive for ~2.5 miles until the road turns into gravel. Travel for ~0.5 miles to the staging area.
2. From I-84 westbound take Exit 62 and turn left onto Cascade Avenue. Follow the remainder of the directions above. This staging area has two entrances on the right hand (north) side of the road, offers improved parking facilities, and is located on Hood River County Forestry Department property. The staging area is day use only, is rocked, has a loading/unloading ramp, has a vault toilet, a couple of picnic tables, and is big enough to accommodate equestrian trailers.
Kingsley Reservoir Staging Area (adjacent trails are motorized:
1. From I-84 eastbound take Exit 62. Turn right onto Cascade Avenue. Travel approximately 300 feet and make a right turn onto Mt. Adams Avenue (Mt. Adams Avenue turns into Wine Country Avenue which turns into Country Club Road). Drive for ~6.1 miles. Make a slight right turn onto Binns Hill Road and drive for ~0.4 mile. Make a left turn onto Kingsley Road and travel for ~5.9 miles to the staging area. This staging area offers improved parking facilities and is on the right side (north) of the road where the pavement turns to gravel.
2. From I-84 westbound take Exit 62 and turn left onto Cascade Avenue. Follow the remainder of the directions above. This facility is located on Hood River County Forestry Department property. The staging area is day use only, is rocked, has a loading/unloading ramp, has a portable toilet, a couple of picnic tables, and is big enough to accommodate equestrian trailers.
Post Canyon Staging Area (adjacent trails are non-motorized):
1. From I-84 eastbound take Exit 62. Turn right onto Cascade Avenue. Travel approximately 300 feet and make a right turn onto Mt. Adams Avenue (Mt. Adams Avenue turns into Wine Country Avenue which turns into Country Club Road). Travel for ~1.6 miles. Turn right onto Post Canyon Road and travel ~0.5 miles. The staging area begins where the pavement turns to gravel. Park on the right (north) side of the road. The area is narrow and adds a challenge to maneuvering a vehicle and trailer.
2. From I-84 westbound take Exit 62 and turn left onto Cascade Avenue. Follow the remainder of the directions above. This staging area offers limited, unimproved parking and is located along the side of the road within the Hood River County road right-of-way and is surrounded by private property. Permission has not been granted for public use of trails so ride up the road for ~1.2 miles to the trailhead at Seven Streams Staging Area.
Seven Streams Staging Area (adjacent trails are non-motorized):
1. From I-84 eastbound take Exit 62. Turn right onto Cascade Avenue. Travel approximately 300 feet and make a right turn onto Mt. Adams Avenue (Mt. Adams Avenue turns into Wine Country Avenue which turns into Country Club Road). Drive for ~1.6 miles. Turn right onto Post Canyon Road (once it becomes gravel the road is rough and has pot holes). Travel ~1.2 miles to the staging area. Limited parking is available on both sides of the road. The area is narrow and adds a challenge to maneuvering a vehicle and trailer. The trailhead is on the south side of the road by the kiosk.
2. From I-84 westbound take Exit 62 and turn left onto Cascade Avenue. Follow the remainder of the directions above. This staging area is located on Oregon Parks and Recreation Department property and is day use only.
Family Man Staging Area (adjacent trails are non-motorized):
1. From I-84 eastbound take Exit 62. Turn right onto Cascade Avenue. Travel approximately 300 feet and make a right turn onto Mt. Adams Avenue (Mt. Adams Avenue turns into Wine Country Avenue which turns into Country Club Road). Drive for ~2.5 miles. Turn right onto Riordan Hill Road and at ~1.7 miles the pavement turns to gravel (the gravel road is rough and has pot holes). Turn right where the pavement ends and go ~0.65 miles and you will see the staging area with vault toilet on your left. The areas to park have been rocked.
2. From I-84 westbound take Exit 62 and turn left onto Cascade Avenue. Follow the remainder of the directions above. This staging area offers limited parking, is day use only, and is located on Hood River County Forestry Department property.
From I-84 to Hood River County's East Area Staging Location
Pinemont Staging Area (adjacent trails are motorized):
1. From I-84 eastbound take Exit 64 and turn right onto White Salmon Highway (Hood River Bridge Road). Make an immediate right turn onto US-30/OR-35. Continue to follow OR-35 for ~10.4 miles. Make a left turn onto Pinemont Road (N-17) and drive for ~1.3 miles. Pinemont Staging Area is on the right hand side of the road.
2. From I-84 westbound take Exit 64 and turn left onto White Salmon Highway (Hood River Bridge Road). Travel for ~300 feet and make a right turn onto US-30/OR-35. Follow the remainder of the directions above.
