To make sure your project gets started on the right track, follow these steps before submitting your building permit application.

1. Confirm Zoning, Setbacks, and Agency Signoffs

Contact the Planning Department to confirm:
  • Zoning for your property
  • Required setbacks
  • Any other agency sign-offs needed for your proposed construction

If your project involves building a new residence outside a Sewer service, contact the Environmental Health Department:

2. Address Information

If you need a physical address, contact the Building Department.

For property located within the City of Cascade Locks, contact the City for:

  • Setbacks
  • Zoning
  • Address assignment

3. Prepare Your Site Plan & Obtain Approvals

4. Driveway Access Requirements

If your project includes a new driveway:

  • County Road: Contact County Public Works for review
