PUBLIC NOTICE OF TIMBER SALE
Hood River County Forestry Department will receive sealed bids for a timber sale in Hood River, Oregon. The following timber sale will be available for purchase:
Westside Salvage 2026 TS #26-6 Township 2N, Range 10E, Sections 5, 6, 7, 8, 18, 19, 30:Township 2N, Range 09E, Sections 12, 13, 14, 15, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 33, 34: Township 1N, Range 09E, Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 13, 26, 34, 35, 36. Hood River County.
The minimum acceptable bid per thousand board feet is:
Douglas-fir 35 MBF $189.00/MBF
White Fir & Others 15 MBF $19.00/MBF
*Merchantable Hardwoods & Sub-merchantable $10.00/MBF or $1.00/TON
The required minimum bid guarantee is Six Hundred and Ninety Dollars ($690.00)

Sealed bids will be received by the County Forestry Director or his representative at the County Forestry Department, 918 18th Street, Hood River, Oregon 97031. Sealed bidders will be restricted to those who have submitted a sealed bid, in proper form, up to and no later than 9:00 a.m. local time on Thursday, the 11th day of June 2026. Following consideration of offers, it is proposed to the Hood River County Board of Commissioners, at their next regular meeting, to award each timber sale to the successful bidder. The County reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
Under State of Oregon law, County timber is not available for export. Full information regarding the timber, conditions of the sale and submission of bids may be obtained from the Hood River County Forestry office at (541) 387-6888.
