Recreation Trail Maps

The new Trail Web map offers realtime updates to trail conditions in the County Forest

New in October 2024 - Interactive real-time digital trail map for the County Tree Farm

Hood River County Geographic Information Services (GIS) has developed the new Hood River County Tree Farm Trail Map, a user-friendly, interactive web map of recreational trails in the County Forest, in collaboration with the County Forestry Department. The platform allows users to visualize and gain information about the recreational trail network. The new online map enables Hood River County Forestry staff to update trail information in real-time. This will improve safety and awareness for all trail users and help with communications in natural disasters. Users can access the Hood River County Tree Farm Trail Map at https://webmap.hoodrivercounty.gov/trail/ or scan a QR code on signs at staging areas.

There are also print maps for the Northwest Area and Pinemont:

Motorized Map: The Hood River County Tree Farm Northwest Area Off-Highway Vehicle Map Guide is funded through the Oregon Parks and Recreation Department ATV Grant Program. Maps are free to the public and are available at the Hood River County Forestry Department office, at each of the three motorized staging area kiosks (information boards) in the Northwest Area, and at the Pinemont Staging Area kiosk. Maps can also be found at local vendors in Hood River and The Dalles.

Non-Motorized Map: Hood River County and Adventure Maps has entered into an agreement whereby Adventure Maps provides, markets and sells the official Hood River Area Recreational Trail Map. $2.00 collected from the sale of each map is donated to the County for non-motorized trail system maintenance. Maps can be found at many Hood River Area vendors.
