Drinking Water Program:

Clean drinking water is the foundation for public health protection.

Hood River County Health Department, Environmental Health Division, provides services to public water systems that result in reduced health risk and increased compliance with drinking water Rules.  This includes public water systems serving 3300 people or fewer.  Larger systems are served directly by the Oregon State Health Authority.

An inventory of public water systems is available here:  Oregon's Water System Inventory

Water and Septic During and After Floods Often during heavy rains we receive reports of homes experiencing flooding in their basements. Often the source of this flooding is from sewage or combined storm water systems that have become overwhelmed because of regional flooding.
