Campgrounds open for the season

Two Hood River County campgrounds opened for the season on May 1, and the season lasts until October 31.

Tucker Park campground has 88 campsites for overnight camping, including sites for small campers (under 30 foot), tents, and one small group site (up to 10 people). Tucker Park is located off the Dee Highway near the Odell turn-off. For more information please visit: hoodrivercounty.gov/tuckerpark.

Toll Bridge Park has 83 campsites, including partial hookup sites (water and electric) for RVs and trailers, single tent sites, two small group tent sites (up to 10 people), and one large group sites (up to 20 people). Toll Bridge Park is located off Highway 35 south of Parkdale, next to the Hood River. For more information please visit: hoodrivercounty.gov/tollbridgepark.

Camp sites are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Sites allow either one tent, one RV, one Sprinter Van, or one vehicle with trailer, plus one additional non-sleeping vehicle. Some exclusions apply for group sites. Restrooms and coin-operated showers are available throughout both parks. Please visit the county website for campsite and group site pricing, and more details.

Renovations continue at Kingsley Reservoir, and reopening of the County’s day-use and campground areas will be announced at a later date. Improvement delays have been caused by late season snowfall, permit processing and supply chain issues. The Farmers Irrigation Project involved raising the height of the dam by 11 feet, replacing an 80-year-old outlet pipe and valve, installing new flow monitoring systems and relocating the campground to the opposite side of the reservoir.
