Hood River County District Attorney's Office

Hood River District Attorneys Office.

The Hood River District Attorney's Office strives to seek justice through accountability, utilizing all our tools to promote safety, responsibility, and reformation.

Our dedicated attorneys and staff are committed to enforcing the law and pursuing justice to make our community a safe place to live. We will provide the highest quality of services to victims, law enforcement, and the citizens of Hood River County.

The District Attorney’s office maintains partnership in legal and practical form with local law enforcement, community corrections, courts, adult and child welfare service providers.  As part of our strategic plan, the office seeks to continue to maintain these partnerships.

This involves continuous outreach to the many agencies we interact with to complete our work.  We will continue to collaborate with law enforcement at the community and state level.  Our attorneys and staff are members of community teams. When needed, we provide training and education to law enforcement, the Department of Human Services, and any other community partner upon request.

The Hood River County District Attorney's Office incorporates and recognizes the community values:

  • Integrity, Accountability and Respect
  • Professionalism in Public Service
  • Effective and Efficient Use of Resources
  • Safe and Enjoyable Workspace
  • The Spirit of the Law
  • Transparency

In recognizing these values, the Hood River District Attorney's Office relies on the traditional model of prosecution and incorporates reform minded tools, supporting the 7th Judicial District's Specialty Courts (Treatment Court, Mental Health Court, Family Dependency Court), Restorative Justice, and Law Enforcement Assisted Diversion/Deflection (LEAD).
