Fire Restrictions Now in Effect – Hood River County (Starting June 16)

**As of 12:01 a.m. on June 16, the Oregon Department of Forestry's Regulated Use Closure (RUC) is in effect for Hood River County due to elevated fire danger.**

  • No fireworks or open campfires in County Forest areas.
  • Campfires are only allowed in designated fire rings at County campgrounds.
  • Portable cooking stoves using bottled or liquefied fuels are permitted.
  • Combustion-engine motorized use is prohibited on Middle Mountain, Pinemont, and Fir Mountain (Eastside) trails.
  • Electric OHVs and e-bikes remain permitted on designated trails.
  • A waiver remains in place for combustion-engine OHV use in the Northwest Area Trail System (Post Canyon) until further notice.

Parking Permit Fees Increase


Starting July 1, 2026, the Annual HRC Parking Permit will increase to $45. The Daily Parking Permit will increase to $10.
